CKF-IN Celebrates 10 Years!

More than 200 people attended the CKF-IN 7th Annual Meeting & Program Luncheon on December 8th at the Marten House Lilly Conference Center in Indianapolis.

The event honored the CKF-IN partners who have been instrumental in the organization for 10 years. CKF-IN presented the Community Leadership Awards to Mary Haupert, Executive Director for Neighborhood Health Center in Ft. Wayne, IN and to the Minority Health Coalition of Marion County in honor of their advocacy support and contributions to the CKF-IN mission.

Receiving the Governor Frank O’Bannon Memorial Kids First Award was Betty Wilson, President and CEO for the Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis, for her leadership in improving statewide policies and processes and her great commitment to being a champion for the health of all Hoosiers.

The Annual Meeting Program featured a very engaging panel discussion around health care reform. Speaking on the panel were Ms. Gretchen Gutman, Attorney for Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, and Dr. Aaron Carroll, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the IUSM and Associate Director for Research of the Children’s Health Services Research Program. Serving as our lively moderator was Mr. John Ketzenberger, President of the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute.

CKF-IN wishes to thank all their partners across the state and looks forward to “Advocating Health Coverage for All” in 2010.
