What We Do

In addition to creating awareness through its network about the policies and issues impacting Hoosiers and their health care coverage, Covering Kids & Families of Indiana helps establish and operate community-based enrollment centers at hospitals, health centers, schools, child care and other social service providers through the formation of CKF-IN local coalitions. CKF-IN local coalitions and affiliates currently operate in twenty-one counties that serve over 51% of families and children enrolled in Hoosier Healthwise, Medicaid and Healthy Indiana Plan.

How We Do It

Statewide committees track enrollment policy changes and provide technical assistance and training to CKF-IN local coalitions and affiliates to implement “promising practices” for enrolling and retaining eligible children, adults and families in the Hoosier Healthwise and Healthy Indiana Plan programs.
